History is the best tool we have to estimate how the candidates are likely to act if elected President and what we can expect from their adminstration. In the Presidential Debates, it will be the goal of each candidate to turn both their own history into a selling point and their opponent’s history into a liability… or for big points, fear.

Other than his recent Presidential run, Donald Trump has no history in politics. However, Hillary Clinton’s campaign probably believes that in that short time, Trump has given her plenty of material to work with. While she’ll likely use his more contentious statements in the last year to call him a sexist, racist, homophobe and xenophobe, as she did half of his supporters recently, this strategy will be far less effective with independent voters than it has been with her own party. More importantly though, it risks enforcing her image of being a nasty person since Trump can easily respond by pointing out his own history of hiring women and minorities based on merit, long before it was politically expedient for him to do so.

For Trump, history is an asset. Whatever one might think of his business practices, the information is there to assess. Trump can use his history as proof that as a successful businessman, he is both a negotiator and a promoter who will use these skills for the benefit of the American people.

For Hillary Clinton though, history is a serious problem for which she has no defense on a debate stage where the protecting arms of the liberal media cannot shield her. This is her Achilles Heel if Trump targets it effectively.

Rumors and speculation aside, what we know about Hillary Clinton’s history tells us what we can expect if she is elected President of the United States:

Corruption: 
We know definitively that Hillary Clinton and her impeached husband have lied to both Congress and to the American people on multiple occasions. We know that the Obama administration and the Clintons are currently involved in several ongoing investigations and that both have used their political influence with Federal Departments and political allies to block, delay and destroy evidence. What little information that has been obtained takes years and always requires a direct court order. For this reason, Clinton’s history shows us that her administration would guarantee that any current scandals against either her or the Obama administration would be buried. It would not only leave her in an extremely dangerous position to monetize the highest office in the land as she has the Clinton Foundation, it would send a very dangerous signal to current and future politicians that a new level of corruption is the norm for which they should have little fear of consequence, as long as they’re on the Clintons’ side.

The Right to Bear Arms: 
Hillary Clinton has made no secret of her disdain for the Second Amendment. Her years of comments demonstrate that she will continue the unconstitutional expansion of Presidential Executive Orders to attack both gun owners and manufacturers. We know that she will use a weaponized Justice Department to destroy the industry that provides firearms to the citizenry. We also know that her likely 2 or 3 Supreme Court picks will be radical leftists who will take an oath to the Constitution and then immediately start gutting it.

“We’ve got to go after this, and here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.” – Hillary Clinton

“I also believe that every new handgun sale or transfer should be registered in a national registry…” – Hillary Clinton

Destruction of Political Opposition: 

Clinton’s years of comments and actions show definitively that she sees her political opponents within the U.S. as a far greater threat than terrorists or the nations that fund them. We can expect an all-out attack on the liberties of individuals aligned with all but the Democratic Party. Her goal, the goal of her administration and Democratic operatives throughout our nation will be to ensure that Republicans can no longer win majorities where it matters. She will do this by the appointment of like-minded Federal Judges, continuing the massive influx of future Democratic voters through our southern border, eradicating voter I.D. laws, expanding entitlements to quell the rising anger of minorities, gerrymandering voting districts, increased indoctrination of our children in public education centers, regulating free speech on the internet for organizations unfriendly to her or her allies, etc.

Massive Expansion of the Federal Government and (at least) Another Recession: 
After a lifetime in the political spotlight, we know that under her administration, government will expand virtually unchecked. We can expect massive increase in regulations, decrees by unelected bureaucrats affecting every aspect of our daily lives, and for the cost to be passed onto those few of us who still earn a living.
“No. We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices … Government has to make those choices for people.” – Hillary Clinton

Since she was First Lady of the United States advocating socialized medicine, Hillary Clinton has left years of evidence that she knows nothing about the economy. But this should come as no surprise for someone who spent the majority of their adult life working in government. Under a Clinton administration, her history shows that regulations, taxes and entitlements will expand, despite warnings from both history and experts that our nation cannot absorb much more debt without serious consequence. We can expect business to stagnate, unemployment to skyrocket and a continued economic recession.

“Don’t let anybody tell you that, you know, its corporations and businesses that create jobs. You know that old theory, trickle-down economics. That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly.” – Hillary Clinton

Domestic and International Disarray: 
As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton’s international policies have left a wake of destruction and disarray behind her. The entire world has been adversely affected by both her and Barak Obama’s naivety and pure ignorance. She has aligned herself with the majority of his policies and demonstrated time and time again that she intends to continue the practice of emboldening our enemies and isolating our allies. We can expect nations unfriendly to democracy to use her time as President as an opportunity to expand exponentially. This will make the world a far more dangerous place than even the current administration has left it.
On Bashar Assad, she said,

“There’s a different leader in Syria now. Many of the members of Congress of both parties who have gone to Syria in recent months have said they believe he’s a reformer.” – Hillary Clinton

Domestically, Clinton’s history of disdain for the police and willingness to pander to violent, racist groups guarantees a drastic increase in violence across our nation. Riots will become the norm. Coupled with her commitment to disarming the citizenry, we can expect violent crime to skyrocket.

“Black lives matter. Everyone in this country should stand firmly behind that.” – Hillary Clinton
